8. There is a pipe plug on the front of my biological safety cabinet, what is the function.?

This plug allows access to the air damper which should only be adjusted by a certification specialist to balance the cabinet's airflow. On some models this plenum may be contaminated if the cabinet has been used, requiring decontamination before plug removal. - Updated: July 31, 1999
