33. How often should I have my biological safety cabinet certified?

As a general rule, an annual certification is usually sufficient, although some institutions' protocols, require a more frequent schedule. If filters are changed, the unit is relocated or work that has been performed within the cabinet itself always needs re-certification regardless of when it took place.
