You can expect more from us in every thing we do.

With all the options available on the market today, it can be confusing to determine which product is best for you, or even what the differences are among the various brands offered. Although air containment technology has evolved dramatically through the years, the time-honored values of The Baker Company have not. It is because of these values that your Baker experience will be unlike any other in the marketplace.

When you use a Baker biological safety cabinet, fume hood or clean bench, you will enjoy total confidence in its design, performance and containment capability within the broadest performance envelope possible. Our commitment to the clean air industry includes significant investments in testing, documentation and computerized, state-of-the-art research laboratories capable of simulating and controlling various common laboratory airflow environments.

No minimum anything.
Our global headquarters in Sanford, Maine houses our core operations: manufacturing, engineering and design, research, testing, quality control, technical support and customer service. This centralized, built-to-order approach helps ensure the highest standards, optimum efficiency, and most importantly, the greatest attention to detail on design and engineering. We believe this is not only the most innovative way to meet our customers’ needs, but also the way to assure the highest level of safety.

No shortcuts.
With any Baker Company product, you are guaranteed the most thorough engineering and meticulous craftsmanship. The construction of Baker laboratory equipment is marked by a focus on function, user comfort, durability… and always safety. Our products feature seamless, covered corners and solid sheet construction. Our materials are always cut to precise dimensions by lasers.

Testing is rigorous, setting us apart in the industry. We were the first company to establish performance envelopes for every type of biological safety cabinet, and in 1995, Baker was proud to earn ISO-9001 Certification of its quality system. Created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an ISO 9001 certificate verifies that quality management system has been certified against a best practice standard. Today, we are the only manufacturer to routinely subject its own equipment to extensive microbiological aerosol testing. We test in the most challenging conditions—above and beyond what the average user would ever encounter. We are always driven to exceed the minimum standards.

We take it personally.
A hallmark of The Baker Company’s approach to design is a longstanding, trusted commitment to partnering with our customers in developing products that not only fill specific needs with custom innovations, but also exceed their expectations for performance and comfort. Since our customers may spend hundreds of hours using our products, outstanding ergonomics is essential. Baker has pioneered countless design modifications that today are the industry standard.

We also understand that your time is valuable. We offer minimal wait times and trained, highly technical support staff and customer service representatives who are committed to making your Baker experience pleasant and answering your technical questions thoroughly.
